ChargePlanner April Update

We’re excited to share the latest release of our ChargePlanner solution, tailored to meet the evolving needs of our rapidly growing European customer base. In April, we rolled out significant improvements that will make managing your charging network smoother, smarter, and more efficient. A glimpse of what's new!

🚦 Smarter Road Segment Selection: Attract More Traffic Effortlessly

Finding the right road segments near your site just got easier! With our new automatic selection method, identifying the most relevant incoming road segments is now a breeze. Within two minutes of drive time around your location, our platform helps you select the accessible road segments, providing a more accurate estimation of car access to your charging points. This feature ensures you capitalize on every passing vehicle's potential.

🏁 Understanding "Charge & Go", "Visit & Charge" and "Stay & Charge" Drivers

Analyzing passing traffic is only part of the equation. Understanding the distinct behavior of three key driver groups —Charge & Go, Visit & Charge, and Stay & Charge— is crucial to maximizing the usage of your fast and ultrafast charging points.

  • Charge & Go Drivers: Urgently seeking a quick recharge to continue their journey.
  • Visit & Charge Drivers: Visiting nearby points of interest and recharging while at their destination.
  • Stay & Charge Drivers: Working or sleeping nearby, often without private charging solutions.

Our updated platform combines these dynamics into separate segments, offering clear insights into each customer group to help you tailor your services accordingly.

📈 Crafting Business Cases for Any Charger Type (or Combination)

We've included detailed behavioral insights into our models, enabling you to make informed investment decisions for both fast and slow charging stations.

  • Fast & Ultrafast Chargers: Our (ultra-)fast charging model now assesses kWh/year potential for mixed sites with both types.
  • Slow Chargers: Insights per residential block compare current AC charging points to the optimal number for 2025. You can easily see how many additional AC charging points to develop.

🌍 Assessing Batches of Locations at Once

Introducing the new "Optimize" module! Assess up to 500 locations at once for (ultra)fast charging potential. Test various combinations of fast and ultrafast charging points to identify optimal configurations. Construct ideal scenarios for tenders or citywide cases effortlessly, making this module perfect for both retailers and city planners.

🔮 What's Next?

  • Country Upgrades: France is our first country to receive the latest functionalities, and the rollout to five more countries is underway.
  • Price Sensitivity Insights: We're adding price information to our location parameters and analyzing underlying price sensitivity dynamics.
  • New Car Passage Data: Filter long trips from shorter trips for improved (ultra-) fast charging models.
  • Truck Charging Segment: We're developing a new "truck charging" segment with the best-in-class data available.

These exciting updates will keep you ahead of the game in this fast-evolving landscape. Stay tuned for more innovations, and let's continue building a greener, more efficient charging network across Europe together!
